MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – Riley County police were investigating the theft of a safe from a Manhattan home, officials said.
The theft was reported around 11:37 p.m. Monday in the 1900 block of Crescent Drive on the northwest side of Manhattan, officials said.
A 34-year-old woman was listed as the victim when it was reported a suspect known to her entered her home and took a safe.

The estimated total loss associated with this case is $1,350.
It was the second report of a safe theft reported recently in Manhattan.
Authorities said another safe — this one with around $10,000 in cash — was reported stolen on Oct. 12 in the 400 block of Walters Drive on the north side of Manhattan.
