MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary incident at a Manhattan Ford dealership.
The office received a report of the burglary on Monday, Oct. 20, around 6:56 a.m.
When deputies arrived on scene, they determined that a suspect had gained entry into the building over the weekend.
The subject stole property and took a 2025 F-350 Ford truck, valued at over $100,000, from the parking lot.
The truck was later recovered in Pottawatomie County.
The Riley County Police Department worked with the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office to identify the suspect.
The suspect and the stolen property were located.
The suspect, identified as a 16-year-old juvenile male of Manhattan, was interviewed.
The incident is still under investigation.
The case will be forwarded to the Pottawatomie County Attorney’s Office for charges after completion.
Manhattan Ford is located at 7920 East Highway 24.
