With the possibility of 4-8 inches of snow headed for Brooklyn this weekend, people are trying to get ahead of the storm.
Floor Manager Les Sanchez for Brooklyn’s Best Locksmith & Hardware in Flatlands says even though it’s days out from the storm, they’ve been slammed.
“It’s been absolutely crazy around the block all day since 9:00 this morning to probably be close. And we’ll probably be here later,” said Sanchez.
Customers told News 12 they had trouble finding supplies like road salt and pellets at larger stores and went to local stores to get what they needed.
Sanchez says Thursday alone they sold out of nine pallets of one kind of pellet, and he says they don’t expect business to stop as the storm approaches.
The Flatlands store sold out of pellets for the sidewalk, but still have pellets for the driveway.
