The Boston Celtics will make the trip to New York City’s Barclays Center to take on the Brooklyn Nets this Friday (Jan. 23) evening. There, the Celtics will be looking to continue with their recent winning ways (save a narrow loss to the first-place Detroit Pistons) in their last several games vs. Brooklyn, while the Nets will look to simply snap their current losing streak vs. Boston (though their front office night not be so pleased if they do).

We think the Celtics ought to win this one pretty handily so long as they respect their opponent – even considering a prominent name taking the tilt off to rest.

Records, standing, and streaks

At present, the Celtics have a 27-16 record coming into the tilt. That has them second in the Eastern Conference standings.

The Nets are the owners of a 12-30 record and a three-game losing streak, good enough for 13 place in the East.
