New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh is overseeing a significant organizational overhaul, with multiple staff departures fueling speculation about efforts to curb the team’s longstanding reputation for internal leaks.

Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News notes that the Giants have developed a reputation as one of the “leakiest” organizations in football, which Harbaugh seeks to end.

The post drew sharp backlash from fans who accused Leonard of previously benefiting from such leaks. However, the Giants have indeed faced widespread criticism in recent years for premature disclosures of personnel decisions and strategy, as well as inner turmoil.

Recent changes include the non-retention of special teams coordinator Michael Ghobrial, defensive line coach Andre Patterson, and several defensive assistants. Additionally, senior vice president of football operations Kevin Abrams is departing after 27 years, having played key roles in two Super Bowl victories.

There is no evidence linking any departed staff to leaking.
