At least seven were injured, one in critical after an explosion took place at Boston Secor Houses residential building in The Bronx, New York in the early hours of Saturday, January 24. The blast took place on the 16th floor of the residential complex.
According to the X user, the blast occurred seconds after a gas smell in apartment 15A. After the explosion, flames were seen erupting from the houses of the building and spreading to the upper floors.Â

After receiving the information, over 200 Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) firefighters rushed to the scene and found seven people injured at the spot. After the long struggle, the blaze was brought under control at around 3 am.
