New York City feels like a snow globe on Jan. 25, as flakes continue to steadily fall.
As of 1 p.m., New York City has accumulated 7.2 inches according to the National Weather Service.
A 2 p.m. update gave a more detailed breakdown of 8.3 inches for Washington Heights and 7.2 inches for Central Park.
The agency’s climate sites at major tristate area airports show afternoon snowfall as follows:
John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK): 6.0″
LaGuardia Airport (LGA): 7.1″
Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR): 8.0″
Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP): 5.8″
Sikorsky Memorial Airport (BDR): 6.7″

New York City like much of the region was blanketed by snow Jan. 25. The snow will turn to sleet later in the day and a deep freeze for the area will remain, complicating the cleanup.
