Most NYC neighborhoods already have at least a half-foot of snow on the ground during the ongoing winter storm, according to the National Weather Service.
The latest report from Central Park had 7.2 inches of snow on the ground as of 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25. The highest total in the city thus far, according to the unofficial data, can be found in eastern Queens; Bellerose came in with a reported 9 inches of snow as of 1:45 p.m. Sunday.
A modest 6 and 7 inches of snow were on the ground at JFK and LaGuardia Airports, respectively, at 1 p.m.
The snow is expected to continue through this evening and may transition into a period of a wintry mix of snow and sleet. When the snow began falling early on Sunday morning, most forecasters predicted city snow totals of between 6 and 12 inches.

Bay Ridge, Brooklyn: 8 inches as of 12:45 p.m.
Dongan Hills, Staten Island: 7.8 inches as of 11:45 a.m.
Central Park, Manhattan: 7.2 inches as of 1 p.m.
Fresh Meadows, Queens: 7.1 inches as of 1:31 p.m.
LaGuardia Airport, Queens: 7.1 inches as of 1 p.m.
Westerleigh, Staten Island: 7 inches as of 12:05 p.m.
JFK Airport, Queens: 6 inches as of 1 p.m.
Williamsburg, Brooklyn: 6 inches as of 12:09 p.m.
Elmhurst, Queens: 6 inches as of 12:55 p.m.
Flatbush, Brooklyn: 5.6 inches as of 11:23 a.m.
