STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Firefighters responded to a report of a fire at a Tottenville Italian restaurant early Saturday morning, according to an FDNY spokesperson.

Fire officials said the fire originated in the kitchen at Patrizia’s of Tottenville, located at 4916 Arthur Kill Rd., just after 6 a.m. and had already been extinguished by the time firefighters arrived.

Firefighters were seen moving through the restaurant and on its roof to ensure the fire hadn’t spread.

The establishment was empty at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported, the FDNY spokesperson said. The scene was cleared an hour later at 7 a.m., according to the FDNY.
