BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – On this day in history, the death of a former New York governor.
Nelson Rockefeller served four terms leading the Empire State from 1959 to 1973. He also served as Gerald Ford’s vice president from 1974 to 1977.
Rockefeller was also a Dartmouth College grad.
He died of a heart attack on January 26, 1979, at the age of 70.
