STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A crash with an overturned vehicle is reported on the Brooklyn-bound Staten Island Expressway on Monday morning.
The crash is near Hylan Boulevard and Lily Pond Avenue on the approach to the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge, according to 511NY.
Surveillance cameras have captured an image of a vehicle overturned in a snowbank at the side of the expressway near Hylan Boulevard.
Personnel from an ambulance and an NYPD vehicle are among the first responders seen in the image.
A storm over the weekend dumped about a foot of snow on the borough.
Two right lanes out of six are closed, according to 511NY.
The emergency response began around 11:30 a.m.
