TV host Bryant Gumbel is reportedly hospitalized in New York City after experiencing an undisclosed medical emergency.

The former “Today” and “Real Sports” host was taken by ambulance from his Manhattan apartment around 9 p.m. on Monday, according to TMZ.

The 77-year-old is said to still be receiving treatment as of Tuesday afternoon.

It’s unclear what precipitated the four-time Emmy-winner’s hospitalization. A family member told TMZ that Gumbel is “OK,” but did not provide any further information on his condition.

During an appearance on “Live with Regis and Kelly” in 2009, Gumbel revealed that he’d been diagnosed with lung cancer and had undergone successful surgery to remove a malignant tumor.

His older brother and fellow sportscaster, Greg Gumbel, died last year at age 78.
