The Thunder Bay Staal Queens under-11 girls hockey team prepares for a face-off at the Rocky Taconite tournament in Silver Bay, Minn., over the weekend. The Queens collected their second tournament title this season by last defeating Cloquet Purple 4-2 in the final. Thunder Bay went 3-0-1 overall, adding the Taconite trophy to the victory at December’s Colder By The Lake event in Superior, Wis. The Queens’ final tournament of the season will be the Central Stars of Tomorrow showcase in Thunder Bay next month.
