WOODSTOCK, N.Y. — A state police investigation into the Jan. 20 death of an unidentified person on Meads Mountain Road is “non-criminal in nature,” authorities said Tuesday.

Trooper Jennifer Alvarez said in an email that she is “unable to discuss further details.”

In an email, Woodstock Police Chief Clayton Keefe said Woodstock police responded to “a medical call” at 293 Meads Mountain Road on Tuesday, Jan. 20, “involving a deceased person.”

The Jan. 21 state police blotter reported an “accidental death” at 10:26 a.m. Jan. 20.
