Floating ice has taken a hold of the Hudson River in New York as temperatures dipped to dangerously low levels, and will continue to stay this way for days.

These conditions have impacted ferry service in the area.

NYC Ferry announced that certain landings need to be skipped because of the “ice buildup.”

“The following landings will be temporarily skipped until further notice: – Battery Park City – Pier 79 – Atlantic Ave/Pier 6-Brooklyn Bridge Park – Brooklyn Navy Yard Service on all routes or to other landings could be temporarily suspended and/or delayed with little or no notice,” NYC Ferry announced.

Meanwhile, Seastreak is warning its passengers that “departures may experience delays of 10, or more minutes.”

The delayed departures are:

7:25 a.m. Belford by about 5 to 10 minutes

8 a.m. Highlands by about 20 minutes

Circle Line said that its service is “operating normally today.”

Aerial footage of the Hudson River showed it was covered in floating ice after the winter storm that hit the tri-state area, and the majority of the U.S. over the weekend.
