A Northern New York man suffered minor burns after his vehicle caught fire in Malone.New York State Police said the driver, a 28-year-old man from Burke, was driving south on State Route 30 on Monday afternoon when he heard a loud noise coming from the engine compartment.When the driver pulled over to investigate, he found flames coming out of the engine and called police.The driver was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening burns to his arms and face.The Malone Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire without further injuries.

A Northern New York man suffered minor burns after his vehicle caught fire in Malone.

New York State Police said the driver, a 28-year-old man from Burke, was driving south on State Route 30 on Monday afternoon when he heard a loud noise coming from the engine compartment.

When the driver pulled over to investigate, he found flames coming out of the engine and called police.

The driver was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening burns to his arms and face.
