PENN YAN, N.Y. (WENY) — The New York State Sheriff’s Summer Camp is looking to build a new year-round building on its grounds in Penn Yan.
According to the New York State Sheriff’s Institute, the proposed 8,000 square foot building will give kids who attend the summer camp a more enjoyable experience. The facility will also function as a wellness and training center for first responders across the state in the fall, winter and spring.
Officials called the project “a place of hope and healing”. The camp is looking for donations to help make this building a reality. You can donate online by clicking here.
