The New York Giants saw their pursuit of former Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken conclude on Wednesday.
Monken, 59, departed from the Ravens this winter after serving at the helm of Baltimore’s offense for the last three seasons. Despite the Ravens (8-9) failing to make the playoffs in 2025, Monken was sought after around the league for head coaching as well as coordinator roles.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported more details regarding rumblings of Monken nearing a deal to become the Giants‘ offensive coordinator prior to him accepting the Cleveland Browns‘ coaching job on Wednesday.
Monken’s orchestration of the Ravens’ historic rushing attack, spearheaded by two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson, paired with running back Derrick Henry, added to his appeal despite a down year for the Jackson-led team in 2025.
Former Ravens head coach John Harbaugh — now coach of the Giants — reportedly desired for Monken to follow him to New York to be a part of his staff.
Nevertheless, patience proved to be a virtue for Monken as he now steps into the first head coaching role of his career with Cleveland.
