For the eighth year in a row, the Loveland Dairy Queen has been named the top treat location in the world.
The world’s frozen treat champion located at East Eisenhower Boulevard and North Lincoln Avenue that sells only treats, no grilled or fried food, has been a Loveland staple for decades. The accolade marks the location having the highest sales, said Heather Wild, general manager at the location.
“It’s never gotten old. Every single year, it is just as exciting,” Wild said.

She contributes the popularity to the nostalgia the location offers visitors, the statues outside that attract customers and warm staff members.
“We obviously could never do it without our staff,” Wild said. “They are amazing and we get a lot of compliments about how friendly they are.”
Wild said that she hopes to continue growing the location’s cake sales and immersing the business into the community through fundraisers.
“This is something we’ve done for many years, but continue to do to be involved in the community,” Wild said. ” … We try to donate everything we can, free item cards where (organizations) can raise money and we also do spirit nights where we will have (customers mention a specific organization and the Dairy Queen will donate proceeds).”
To celebrate Loveland’s win, the location will be offering free medium blizzard cards for each item purchased Feb. 16-17. The card can be used to redeem a free blizzard Feb. 18 to Dec. 31.
