UTICA, N.Y. — The race for the 119th Assembly District seat now has more candidates.
Republican Mike Gentile, who recently ran for county legislator, has announced a campaign for the seat.
Gentile would face Deerfield Town Board member Dan Fusco.
On the Democratic side, Utica Councilman Joe Betar and Jon Lipe, who works for Congressman John Mannion, are running.
The 119th District is currently represented by Marianne Buttenschon.
She announced earlier this month that she will not run for re-election.
