One person is stable and hospitalized after being shot in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx on Thursday, Jan. 29, police said.

An NYPD spokesperson said the NYPD received a call at 7.21 p.m. of a shooting and that one person was shot in the lower abdomen and transported to St. Barnabas Hospital in Belmont.

Police had cordoned off the crime scene around Bedford Convenience Store, located at Bedford Park Blvd and Villa Avenue and blood stains were seen just inside the door of the business.
