The history of Barbie is on display at the NYS Museum through March 8.

ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) – The New York State Museum is currently hosting an exciting Barbie exhibit, running through March 8th.

This free and interactive exhibit dives into Barbie’s rich history and evolution, showcasing iconic dolls, their diverse wardrobes and various careers.

Museum director, Jennifer Sauders, said the exhibit encourages family interactions and intergenerational dialogue about the cultural significance of Barbie over the decades.

She added that Barbie’s commitment to inclusivity allows children to see themselves reflected in the dolls, fostering a sense of belonging and connection.
