Tonight will be bitterly cold with localized lake snow. Lows will be in single digits and low teens below zero across Northern New York, with lows in the single digits below and above zero for Central New York and the Southern Tier.

Additional lake-snow showers are expected Saturday, primarily south-southeast of Lake Ontario again. The cold will stick around into and through the weekend with highs in the teens with wind chills in the single digits. Temperatures will gradually improve heading through next week.
