STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A firefighter suffered a minor injury during a blaze that broke out inside a home in the Travis neighborhood of Staten Island on Saturday evening, fire officials said.

The FDNY received the call at 7:57 p.m. for a reported fire on the second floor of a residence at 10 Leroy St., between Victory Blvd. and Cannon Ave.

A total of 21 units and 79 fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene. Firefighters brought the incident under control at 9:24 p.m., an FDNY spokesperson said.

One firefighter with a minor injury was transported to Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton.
