Most of our readers don’t need to be reminded of the Hotel Bossert’s 14-year long neglect, after the Jehovah’s Witnesses sold the building and decamped to upstate New York. There was talk of the buyer restoring the Bossert to its “Waldorf Astoria of Brooklyn” glory. Even Ian Schrager teased a deal to convert the iconic building back to a hotel. Both endeavors failed and the neighborhood began to lose all hope.
Finally, SomeraRoad Inc. and its Founder and Managing Principal Ian Ross (a local resident!) are here to save the Bossert.
Watch this 10-minute interview to hear all the details of SomeraRoad’s plans for the Bossert’s renaissance, including what promises to be a premier, fine dining restaurant that will be open to the public.
What a boon to the neighborhood and Montague St. this promises to be!
