A public school teacher was arrested for assaulting a 10-year-old student inside a Brooklyn classroom Monday, police said.
Moaz Mahmoud, 26, allegedly struck the student in the face before shoving and grabbing him during an argument around 11 a.m. inside Public School 276 on E. 83rd St. near Avenue K in Canarsie, cops said.
The teacher was arrested about an hour later for acting in a manner injurious to a child and assault, police said. His arraignment was pending in Brooklyn Criminal Court.
The student declined medical attention.
