LEWIS, N.Y. (WCAX) – Authorities say an Adirondack Trailways bus crashed on Interstate 87 early Tuesday after the driver lost control.
It happened around 3:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes in the town of Lewis. New York State Police say the driver struck a guardrail on the west shoulder and then overcorrected, causing the bus to careen into a ditch.
Five passengers were on the bus. No injuries were reported.
The driver, Leon Wells, 39, of Jamaica, was issued a ticket.
