Special elections held Tuesday for 3 New York State Legislature seats

Polls are now open for special elections for three seats in the New York State Legislature.

The seats on the ballot Tuesday are:

36th Assembly District in Queens, the seat previously held by Mayor Zohran Mamdani

74th Assembly District in Manhattan, the seat previously held by Harvey Epstein, who is now on the City Council

47th Senate District in Manhattan, previously held by Brad Hoylman-Sigal, who became Manhattan borough president

Early voting started Sat. Jan. 24, but was suspended the next two days due to the winter storm.

On Election Day, polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
