Scotts Valley High fourth-year guard Brooklyn Williams was pulled after scoring her 1,000th career point, and the repeat Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League champion Falcons celebrated senior night with a 60-34 win over visiting Aptos on Tuesday.
Williams is the second local girls basketball player in the past week to reach the milestone. Pacific Collegiate School junior forward Kat Buckley surpassed the mark in the Pumas’ 57-20 win over Seaside on Wednesday.
Williams made three 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 19 points.
Junior guard Hanna Shehorn scored 17 points for the Falcons (21-1 overall, 9-0 league), who led 22-16 at the half and outscored the Mariners 25-7 in the third quarter. Freshman center Isabelle Jas scored 13 points.
Sophomore guard Isabella Alvarez scored 18 points to lead the Mariners (12-11, 5-4).
In the teams’ regular-season finales on Friday at 5:30 p.m., Scotts Valley plays at Harbor (7-13, 1-7), and Aptos plays at San Lorenzo Valley (6-12, 2-7).
Santa Cruz 75, at SLV 38: Senior Karolina Espinosa scored 16 points, leaving her 34 shy of 1,000 in her career, and the second-place Cardinals won their SCCAL game Tuesday.
Junior wing Mila Conn scored a game-high 18 points and had five rebounds and five steals for the Cardinals (14-8, 6-2). Junior guard Vivian Tate and freshman guard Drew Yoshida each scored 11 points.
Sophomore guard Taylor Kievlan scored 10 points to lead the Cougars (6-12, 2-7), and freshman center Avery Avilla added nine points.
Santa Cruz hosts Harbor (7-13, 1-7) in a make-up game Thursday at 6 p.m., and SLV hosts Aptos (12-11, 5-4) on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
At Pajaro Valley 49, Seaside 16: Monique Ayala made two 3s and total 18 points to help the Grizzlies win their Pacific Coast Athletic League Cypress Division game Tuesday and push their win streak to nine games.
Elizabeth Zamora scored 12 points for the Grizzlies (12-6, 8-1), who led 31-5 at the half. Olivia Contreras scored 11 points.
Cameron Valencia scored nine points to lead the Spartans (0-15, 0-9).
Pajaro Valley plays at PCS (16-3, 8-1) on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Soquel 37, Harbor 19: Siena Merrill had 13 points and five rebounds to help the Knights win their SCCAL game Tuesday.
Charlee Beck scored five points, pulled down a season-high 15 rebounds, and made seven steals for the Knights, who led 19-14 at the half. Summer Shields had nine points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Esme Walton had four points and two steals.
Freshman Jonah Diaz-Le scored seven points to lead the Pirates (7-13, 1-7), who were missing four starters due to sickness and injury. Junior Caley Rowe chipped in with five points.
Harbor plays at Santa Cruz (14-8, 6-2) in a make-up game on Thursday at 6 p.m., and Soquel plays at Santa Cruz on Friday at 6 p.m.
At Hollister 60, Watsonville 43:Â Senior guard Stephanie Martinez had 18 points and five steals for the fourth-place Wildcatz, who lost their PCAL Gabilan Division game to the third-place Haybalers on Tuesday.
Senior Leilani Yasin had 12 points, eight rebounds, six blocks, and five steals for the Wildcatz (10-10, 5-5).
The Haybalers improved to 12-8, 7-3.
Watsonville plays at Pacific Grove (7-13, 2-8) on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Boys basketball
Soquel 68, at Harbor 42: Senior center Connor Corlett scored a game-high 19 points, and the Knights locked down sole possession of the SCCAL title — their first since 2013 — with their win Tuesday.
Senior Liam Wennstrom scored 13 points for the Knights (18-5, 9-0), who led 34-22 at the half.
Senior guard Bernat Perez-Usero made a pair of 3s and scored 12 points to lead the Pirates (11-9, 3-5). Senior forward Andres Martinez scored 10 points, and sophomore guard Hudson Bare added nine points.
Harbor (11-9, 3-5) plays at Santa Cruz (10-12, 6-2) in a make-up game Thursday at 7:30 p.m., and Soquel closes the regular season against the host Cardinals on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Monte Vista Christian 68, at Seaside 55: Jeremy Silver made three 3s and scored 15 points to help keep the Mustangs atop the PCAL Cypress Division standings on Tuesday.
Matteo Vidal scored nine points for the Mustangs (15-5, 8-2), who share the division lead with North Salinas (15-5, 8-2) with four games remaining in the regular season.
Timote Tulua scored 19 points to lead the Spartans (3-17, 2-8).
MVC hosts PCS (5-13, 0-9) on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Santa Cruz 64, at SLV 42: Junior forward Kaden Miritz and sophomore guard Zavion Hamilton recorded double-doubles in the Cardinals’ SCCAL win Tuesday.
Miritz finished with 17 points, 12 rebounds, five blocks, and four steals, and Hamilton totaled 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Junior LJ Legan added 12 points for the Cardinals (10-12, 6-2), who led 34-16 at the half.
Juniors Anton Nite and Brayden Scoma each scored nine points to lead the Cougars (5-15, 0-9).

Levi Race scored seven points for the Mariners (10-13, 6-3), who led 18-6 at the half. Zane Matlow had six points and five rebounds.
Braeden Dickenson had nine points and two rebounds to lead the Falcons (5-16, 2-7).
On Friday at 7:30 p.m., Aptos plays at SLV (5-15, 0-9), and Scotts Valley plays at Harbor (11-9, 3-5).
At St. Francis 73, Marina 52: Junior guard Isaiah Villalobos made four 3s and finished with a game-high 22 points in the Sharks’ PCAL Mission Division win Tuesday.
Senior forward/center Jacob Jimenez scored 20 points for the Sharks (9-10, 4-4), who led 45-22 at the half. Senior guard Robert Gomez Jr. also made four 3s and finished with 15 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and five steals.
Senior Kaleb True scored 14 points to lead the Mariners (14-7, 6-3).
St. Francis plays at Stevenson (5-16, 2-7) on Thursday at 7 p.m.
