Guerschon Yabusele’s failed Knicks tenure is over.
They are trading him to the Bulls in exchange for Dalen Terry, according to ESPN, ahead of Thursday’s 3 p.m. trade deadline.
It does not come as a surprise, as The Post previously reported the Knicks were actively looking to trade the struggling Yabusele.

Yabusele signed a two-year deal worth roughly $12 million, which included a player option for next year, this past offseason. There was a possibility the Knicks would have had to attach draft compensation to a deal to get a team to take on his contract — that they didn’t have to is a plus.
He was the Knicks’ biggest free agency signing in two years — since Donte DiVincenzo. After a few years playing overseas, he had rejuvenated his career with the French national team in the 2024 Olympics and with the 76ers last year. The Knicks planned on him being a key part of what was supposed to be a strengthened bench unit, providing valuable big man depth.
But he has looked out of place in coach Mike Brown’s system, seeing his role diminish. Notably, he signed with the Knicks before Brown was officially hired as coach.
In 41 games with the Knicks, he averaged 2.7 points on 39.3 percent shooting from the field and 29.4 percent shooting from 3-point range. He did not play the last three games as the Knicks were in trade discussions.
He seemed to see the writing on the wall earlier this week.

“I’m blessed for everything that’s happened in my career so far, to be able to be in here with the New York Knicks and everything,” Yabusele said on Tuesday. “I’m just blessed for that and I’ll take it as it comes.”
Terry, a guard in his fourth season in the league, is averaging 3.5 points per game on 44.1 percent shooting from the field and 41.3 percent from 3-point range.
He will be a free agent after the season, so the Knicks got out of Yabusele’s contract for next year in exchange for an expiring deal.
