MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – Riley County Police officials confirmed that Immigration and Customs Enforcement units were in the Manhattan area Thursday morning.
The information was included in a notice posted at 9:58 a.m. Thursday on the Riley County Police Department’s Facebook page,

According to the post, “The Riley County Police Department has received multiple calls regarding possible Immigration and Customs Enforcement in the Manhattan area this morning. We can confirm there were operations that were conducted. RCPD was not involved in these operations.”
There were no immediate reports of arrests or apprehensions in connection with ICE personnel on the ground in Manhattan.
Details about the location of the ICE units also weren’t immediately available.
Riley County Police officials referred all questions to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
