The Verona Wildcat Dance Team competed in the Wisconsin Association of Cheer Pom Coaches (WACPC) Dance Regionals competition on Jan. 24 at Middleton High School, with two soloists advancing to the state competition set for this weekend. 

The team of eight Verona Area High School students competed in Pom, Hip Hop and Jazz styles at the regional competition.

Verona Area High School students Brooklyn Sill and Liberty Martin advanced as soloists and will now compete in the WACPC All State Dance competition on Feb. 6 at the La Crosse Center. 

“Thank you to our team, our families, our supporters and our coaches for helping us to grow and push us to be the team we are,” the team wrote on social media. “Biggest congratulations to (Brooklyn Sill and Liberty Martin) who will be competing as All State qualifiers – we cannot wait to see the amazing things you do!”

WACPC is a nonprofit organization comprised of cheer and dance coaches throughout the State of Wisconsin. Endorsed by WIAA (Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association), WACPC hosts competitions, educational events, recognition awards and more in an effort to constantly improve the cheer and dance athletic programs in Wisconsin.
