Anybody planning their vacation for the summer yet? This time of year comes along and most people start daydreaming about where they’re going to travel for a little R & R. Unfortunately, a lot of people forget about all of the huge landmarks we have here in New York State that they’ve probably never seen.

Road trips can be the ultimate family bonding time

This summer, you’ve got a really cool chance to take the ultimate road trip through New York State. Just think of how nice it would be to have the whole family in the car at the same time to make memories together. Even if the kids are engulfed in their phones for a lot of the trip, you have a real opportunity to bond with them. Whether you’re actually engaging in conversation or just listening to the same music, you’d be surprised how a little time in the car can go a long way.

We have some incredible landmarks to visit in New York State

Sure, we have the landmarks that everyone knows about. The Statue of Liberty, Times Square, and The Freedom Tower are all in New York City, but just think about all of the places there are to visit outside of New York City. From the Adirondacks to Niagara Falls, there are parks and historical places to visit throughout the entire state. Did you know there have been three United States Presidents who had their inauguration in New York State? One was assassinated here, too, unfortunately. All of those sites are places you should see.

There are places for sports lovers (The Baseball Hall of Fame), nature lovers, and places for adventurous people.

If you’re looking for things to do this summer, you don’t have to go far.
