A 13-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly stabbing a Brooklyn school safety agent as she tried to break up an brawl between two middle schoolers, police said.Â
The teen is accused of knifing the agent, a 53-year-old woman, in her calf as she intervened in the 3:10 p.m. Wednesday scuffle on Beverley Road near Ralph Avenue, steps from IS 285, the Meyer Levin Middle School for the Performing Arts in East Flatbush, police said.
He was quickly arrested and charged with felony assault, authorities said Thursday.Â

He is expected to be prosecuted as a juvenile, with his case proceeding in Family Court.Â
The agent was taken to the Kings County Hospital Center, where she is listed in stable condition, authorities said.Â
The school is home to about 750 students from grades 6, 7 and 8.
