Decatur city leaders are rallying to support Brooklyn Williams, a student at Austin Junior High School diagnosed with a rare brain cancer.
A blood drive was scheduled for Monday, Feb. 9, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at three locations: Decatur City Hall, Decatur Donor Center, and Decatur Fire & Rescue Training Center.
To accommodate those coming during lunch, hot dogs and Texas Roadhouse’s famous rolls were served at the Decatur Fire & Rescue location.
Brothers for Life and the City of Decatur teamed up with LifeSouth to support Brooklyn and her family. This initiative aimed to support Brooklyn, the daughter of a local firefighter, in her battle against Diffuse Midline Glioma.
