BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – The New York City Police Department is seeking help locating a woman who punched a 72-year-old in the face multiple times aboard a Brooklyn bus on Thursday, police said.
The victim, a 72-year-old woman, was riding a B6 MTA bus when the assault occurred, police said.
The incident occurred around 6:08 p.m. near Glenwood Road and Nostrand Avenue. An unidentified female approached the victim and began a verbal argument, police said.
During the altercation, the woman assaulted the victim by punching her in the face. The assailant then fled the scene on foot, police said.
The victim was transported to a local hospital. She is expected to survive, authorities said.
Police say the assailant is female. She was last seen wearing a light-colored bubble jacket, black-and-white striped pants, and a hat.
