In celebration of the launch of its new homemade jarred soup line, Manischewitz is unveiling a free art and photography exhibit in New York City that explores the culture of Jewish cuisine.
Scheduled to run Feb. 6–10 at 155 Suffolk St. (Artifact NYC), the Bayonne-based, Kayco-owned kosher brand’s “SOUP” display seeks to examine how food – particularly soup – can be a source of comfort, ritual, humor and shared memory across generations.
It features work from multidisciplinary artist Dan Weinstein, Peruvian-Jewish interdisciplinary artist Rosemarie Gleiser and leading Israeli photographer Ohad Romano.
According to Kayco, art will be available for purchase on site. Additionally, the Manischewitz Deli on Wheels will park outside, serving traditional comfort foods including soup, knishes and hot dogs.

Founded in 1888, Manischewitz has been a stalwart in American Jewish culture for over 130 years, offering authentic Jewish foods to consumers nationwide. Its staples include matzo, matzo ball soup, gefilte fish, baked goods and other pantry essentials.
Now, under Kayco’s stewardship, Manischewitz is undergoing a rebrand. According to the ninth-generation-run company, the reimagined brand will continue to offer a diverse range of products, including traditional favorites like matzah and macaroons, alongside new offerings designed to appeal to modern palates.
With its new soup line, Kayco seeks to bring traditional Jewish soups into a modern, ready-to-serve format. Available in 24-ounce glass jars, varieties include clear chicken broth, chicken noodle, chicken matzo ball, tomato & rice, split pea, mushroom barley and vegetable.
A brand spokesperson said, “We see ourselves as caretakers of cultural memory. Jewish food as always carried history, humor and identity. Supporting this exhibition is about sustaining the artists and stories that continue to shape Jewish life in America.”
