(NEW YORK CITY) – Nearly 15,000 New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA)-represented Nurses are continuing to hold the line on the largest and longest Nurses’ Strike in New York City History and are demanding their employers settle fair contracts with their Nurses.
However, these Nurses are at a critical moment in their Strike.
Hospital executives remain dug in on proposals that would roll back the safe staffing gains Nurses won just three years ago, while refusing to implement common sense workplace violence protections or bargain in good faith.
And those Hospitals have saved up hundreds of millions of dollars to hire temporary replacement Workers in an attempt to break the Union.
Nurses continue to picket day after day in frigid conditions and many are beginning to collect Unemployment Insurance.
Others are applying for COBRA Health Benefits to protect themselves and their families because they currently have no health coverage.
As the Strike continues, many Nurses are growing increasingly worried about bills piling up and basic household expenses.
You can help these Union Nurses by making a contribution to their Strike Hardship Fund – 100% of your donations to the NYSNA Strike Hardship Fund go directly to striking Nurses who are sacrificing so much to protect patient care for all New Yorkers.
Donations will help to cover essentials like electric bills, transportation to and from the picket line and other daily expenses.
Just as importantly, they are a tangible show of solidarity and encouragement from our Union Brothers and Sisters at a moment when Nurses need it most.

New York City’s Unions have also been hitting the sidewalks to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with these brave Nurses.
Strike lines are up and running up at locations in the Bronx and Manhattan and the busiest times are between 11 a.m. and1 p.m.
Schedules may change so make sure to follow the Nurses on Facebook, Bluesky, Twitter and Instagram for the latest updates on picket lines and locations.
