A late-night gunpoint robbery on W47th Street prompted a heavy police response in Hell’s Kitchen Wednesday night, spilling into nearby blocks and drawing the attention of residents tracking the activity in real time.

According to the NYPD, the incident occurred around 11:15pm outside 441 W47th Street between 9th and 10th Avenues. Police say five men approached a 47-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman, displayed firearms and took the man’s cellphone before running off eastbound. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
