CLINTON HILL, N.Y. (PIX11) — A 22-year-old female victim was punched multiple times during a robbery on Wednesday, according to police.

The assault occurred outside of 275 Classon Avenue on Wednesday at around 3:20 p.m. in Brooklyn, police said.

An unknown assailant punched the victim multiple times in the face, then stole her cell phone. During the assault, a 35-year-old woman attempted to intervene and was also punched in the face, police said.

Emergency Medical Services transported the 22-year-old to a local hospital. She is expected to survive. The 35-year-old victim sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene, officials said.

Police described the assailant as a male. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, gray sweatpants, white sneakers, and a black hat.
