Jake Paul is at the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics — no, not as an athlete, but as a spectator. Or perhaps more accurately, as a fiancé.
Paul, who was seen with Vice President JD Vance watching the U.S. women’s hockey team take on Finland on Saturday, is in Italy to support his betrothed. And while he was supporting Team USA in hockey, his support may have to switch to another country on the speed skating track.
That’s because his fiancée is Dutch skating star Jutta Leerdam. The 27-year-old skater has been connected to the influencer and boxer since 2023, when Paul sent her a message on Instagram asking her to be on his podcast. The pair announced their engagement in March 2025.
Jutta Leerdam’s speed skating career
Since being crowned the junior world champion in 2017, Leerdam has won multiple speed skating titles in Europe and throughout the world.
She made her Olympic debut at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, competing in the 500m and 1000m events, earning a silver medal in the later. She placed fifth in the 500m.
Leerdam will be a favorite to take home another medal in Milan Cortina. She will be competing in the same events she did in 2022, the 500m and 1000m, at the Milano Speed Skating Stadium.
Brittany Bowe has won two Olympic bronze medals in speed skating, but she’s not afraid to do some competitive training with her partner, Team USA hockey captain Hilary Knight.
When is Jutta Leerdam competing at the Winter Olympics 2026?
Leerdam’s first event will be her best one, the 1000m. It will be held on Monday, Feb. 9 at 11:30 a.m. EST.
She will compete again nearly a week later, in the 500m on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m. EST.
