NEW YORK (PIX11) – An extreme cold warning has been issued for New York City, but temperatures could warm up again soon.
The warning is in effect until 1 p.m. Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures aren’t likely to surpass 20 degrees.

But by mid-week, the region may be in the clear. Temperatures will warm up Monday and Tuesday, and could hit 40 degrees by Wednesday. The wind will relax on Monday.
