Former NewsChannel 13 Chief Metereologist Bob Kovachick inducted into NY Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
Former NewsChannel 13 Chief Meteorologist Bob Kovachick received a big honor on Wednesday.
Kovachick was inducted into the New York State Broadcasters Hall of Fame in a ceremony at the iconic Rainbow Room in New York City.
He spent more than 40 years forecasting the weather. Kovachick joined WNYT in 1988 as chief meteorologist.
Kovachick made countless school visits over the years, sharing his passion for weather with students all across the area.
He was one of the first television weather forecasters in the Capital Region to have a meteorology degree.
Kovachick retired in 2023.
He is one of six members of the Class of 2025.
