A Patchogue woman is celebrating a major windfall after winning a $1,000,000 top prize in the New York Lottery’s Million Dollar Raffle, drawn on October 26, 2025, lottery officials announced.
Carrie Machinist of Patchogue was one of 15 winners selected to receive a $1,000,000 cash prize as part of the promotional raffle commemorating the Erie Canal bicentennial.
Machinist chose to receive her prize as a one-time lump sum payment of $651,006, according to lottery officials.
The winning ticket was purchased at Conoco Quick Stop, located at 626 Route 112 in Patchogue. The store received a $5,000 bonus for selling a top-prize ticket.
Patchogue is located in Long Island.
Other top-prize winning Million Dollar Raffle tickets were sold in the Bronx, Chenango, Dutchess, Genesee, New York, Queens, Schenectady, Suffolk, and Westchester counties.
