A Bronx man is celebrating a life-changing windfall after winning a top prize in the New York Lottery’s Ultimate Cash scratch-off game, lottery officials announced.

Francesco Totino of the Bronx claimed the top prize and chose to receive his winnings as a one-time lump sum payment of $4,157,121 after required withholdings, according to officials.

The winning ticket was purchased at The Check Cashing Place, located at 544 East Fordham Road in the Bronx.

As of this writing, two top prizes remain on the Ultimate Cash scratch-off ticket. Players can check the status of any New York Lottery scratch-off by downloading the Game Report at nylottery.ny.gov.

New York’s scratch-off games generated $4,339,794,048 in total sales during fiscal year 2024–2025. School districts across the five boroughs received $1,427,185,199 in Lottery Aid to Education during the same period.

The New York Lottery remains North America’s largest and most profitable lottery, contributing $3.6 billion in fiscal year 2024–2025 to benefit public schools statewide.
