NEW YORK — Nine people were injured in connection with a four-alarm fire Monday night in Queens, authorities said.
The call came in around 6:45 p.m. for a first-floor fire on Dongan Avenue between Poyer Street and Broadway, according to authorities.
Seven of the injured were civilians and two were firefighters, authorities said, adding one civilian suffered critical injuries, one suffered serious injuries and the rest of the injuries were minor.
As of about 9:30 p.m., there were roughly 230 fire and medical personnel responding to the blaze and operations were ongoing.
