It was a busy week for Red Deer Polytechnic teams across multiple sports. Both the Kings and Queens Volleyball squads earned wins over the Medicine Hat College Rattlers.

The Queens Basketball team split its road series, while the Kings Basketball team dropped both contests. On the ice, the Queens Hockey team fell to the Lakeland College Rustlers, while the Kings Hockey team picked up a road win against the Portage College Voyageurs.

Queens at Rattlers — Friday, February 6

The Queens dropped a 73-53 decision in Medicine Hat. Avery Stypula and Kaylee Foster led RDP with 11 points apiece.

Queens at Rattlers — Saturday, February 7

The seventh-seeded Queens (5-12) rebounded with an 84-73 win over the fifth-place Rattlers (7-10). Jorgia Hicks recorded 10 points and 11 assists, while Mia Cunningham added a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Kings at Rattlers — Friday, February 6

The Kings fell 98-70 on the road, with Calgary native Noah Simon leading RDP with 25 points.

Kings at Rattlers — Saturday, February 7

Medicine Hat secured a 111-70 victory over the Kings. Hamza Mahdi paced Red Deer Polytechnic with 22 points in the loss.
