A raging fire left one person dead and several injured, including children, Monday night in a Queens home.

The incident occurred around 6:44 p.m. Monday at a multi-family residence located at 83-32 Dongan Ave in the Elmhurst neighborhood.

A 34-year-old woman died at the scene, and firefighters are searching for another person missing in the basement. A 22-year-old man was rushed to Harlem Hospital and was in critical condition.

A 10-year-old girl and a 55-year-old man were also taken to the same hospital; both are in stable condition. Four other people were injured: a 13-year-old girl and three women, who were transported to a hospital. Two firefighters were also injured during the operation.

The Red Cross is assisting 40 displaced adults and 7 children from approximately 14 households.

The cause of the fire that occurred on the first floor of the building is still unknown.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
