In the first shooting of the year in the New York City subway system, a man is clinging to life after he was shot inside a Bronx station Tuesday, police said.
The victim was struck inside the 170th St. station at E. 170th St. and Grand Concourse in Mt. Eden at 2:56 p.m., according to law enforcement.
Medics rushed him to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition, cops said.
According to MTA sources, the shooting happened on the Manhattan-bound platform of the station, which is served by the B and D subway lines.
No arrest has been made.
