New York City FC is worth $1.12 billion, according to a new batch of Major League Soccer club valuations released today by sports-business outlet Sportico.
This is the second straight year in which New York City FC is one of five MLS teams valued at or over $1 billion, with the club standing pat in 5th Place on Sportico’s 2026 valuations after gaining $120 million and 12% in value when compared to the 2025 rankings.
MLS teams now are worth, on average, $767 million, a 6% increase on 2025’s average of $721 million, and an even bigger increase of 11.6% on the $678 million average value of a franchise as of Sportico’s 2024 list.

Inter Miami CF is the most valuable club in MLS in 2026, worth $1.45 billion and rising 22% in value year-over-year. That was enough to jump LAFC to take the top spot in Sportico’s rankings. The publication notes that Miami earned $21.05 million from competing in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, giving them a higher payout than LAFC ($10.55 million) and Seattle Sounders ($9.55 million). You have to wonder if Miami winning MLS Cup in 2025 and opening their soccer-specific home, Miami Freedom Park, in 2026 helped them make the leap to the top spot.
New York City FC holds steady at #5
The rest of the Top 5 remains the same, with LA Galaxy ($1.17 billion), Atlanta United ($1.14 billion), and New York City ($1.12 billion) sitting at the top of the table. NYCFC’s $120 million increase in valuation is the joint-second highest, in the Top 10, equal to LAFC’s, and the second-highest in terms of percentage, trailing only Inter Miami.
